The eternal city of the West
The Acropolis has dominated Athens for 2,500 years. The Parthenon, dedicated to Athena, is the most influential building in Western architectural history. The Acropolis Museum houses the original sculptures. Plaka neighbourhood below the Acropolis is the most picturesque with its alleys and tavernas. Getting around
