The island for everyone

Mallorca is Spain's most visited Mediterranean island and for good reason. Palma, the capital, has a Gothic cathedral emerging from the sea, the Old Quarter, and a European-level gastronomic scene. The Tramontana Mountains (UNESCO Heritage) offer epic hiking with sea views. The southwest (Magaluf, Palmanova) satisfies sun and beach tourism. The northwest (Deià, Valldemossa, Banyalbufar) captivates with stone villages on clifftops.

Where to stay

Palma for the most urban and sophisticated experience. Deià for rural glamour with sea views. Port de Pollença for families and water sports. Alcúdia for traditional family beach tourism. Cala d'Or for the most exclusive southeastern Mallorca.

Getting around

To truly explore Mallorca, rent a car (from 25€/day). TIB has regular buses between main towns. The Sóller Train (since 1912) is a journey in itself. Palma airport has direct connection to the city.
